The Familiy Gene Toolkit

The Family Gene Toolkit is a digital platform designed to improve genetic care. It helps patients understand their genetic diagnosis and next steps beyond the initial consultation. Furthermore, it provides health care providers with a platform for long-term care. This unique tool has been awarded a prestigious BRIDGE-Discovery grant which allows to implement enhancements in design and functionality based on user feedback. Noteworthy is the potential integration of artificial intelligence-based features to improve clinical efficiency and personalisation for patients. The goal is to facilitate clinical care by increasing the efficiency of consultations and enabling patient follow-up, appointment scheduling, communication and long-term cancer risk management.

«By empowering patients to make informed decisions and supporting professionals in providing more efficient care, the Family Gene Toolkit aims to prevent hereditary cancers and reduce healthcare costs through earlier detection and better care.»
